Moving to WordPress

Those who visit regularly may notice some subtle changes. I am in the process of moving The South Mississippi Family Law Blog to the WordPress blogging platform.  I hope to keep any down-time to a minimum.

Currently, I use RapidWeaver to design and run the website, but I wanted more options for the blog than was available.

I thought I would do the entire site in WordPress, but I didn’t really like any of the templates I could find. There were several I liked just for the blog, but I really like the current color scheme of the site (plus it matches the colors of the University of Southern Mississippi, which is here in Hattiesburg).

Fortunately, I found the wp-blog plugin for RapidWeaver by nilrog. This plugin really makes it a no-brainer for having a WordPress blog as part of your RapidWeaver-designed site.

Please note that as I move my old blog posts to WordPress, RSS subscribers may receive duplicates of posts that were previously published.

Now if I could only figure out a way to keep the few comments that have been made to the posts …
