That is the question facing a mother in south Mississippi. According to Time Magazine report, U.S. immigration officials have taken a baby away from an alleged illegal immigrant after the baby was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Following the baby’s birth, the hospital in which the child was born reportedly called Mississippi Department of Human Services, which found, according to the Time report, that the mother’s inability to speak English placed the child in danger.
Mississippi Department of Human Services will not comment because of a gag order, but before the gag order was in place, an official supposedly stated that the language spoken by the mother had nothing to do with the investigation.
